Title Belt Disputed: Retained WBC international super featherweight title

After a long heated lawsuit between Top Rank and GBP, the two promotion companies finally settled their lawsuit which gave fruit to the long awaited rematch between Manny Pacquiao and Marco Antonio Barrera on June 29, 2007. The fight was held at the Mandalay Bay Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas with Pacquiao repeated the result from the first fight with a easy unanimous decision against the Mexican boxing legend.

In the 11th round, Pacquiao punch made a deep cut under Barrera's right eye that frustrated Barrera as he retaliated with an illegal punch right at the break that dazed Pacquiao thus causing the referee to deduct a point from Barrera. At the end, two judges scored the bout 118-109, and the third judge scored it 115-112.  The Mexican legend Barrera soon retired after his defeat to Pacquiao and said that "he gave it his all for this fight".
