Pacquiao defeated Morales via a 10th-round KO in a much-anticipated rematch on January 21, 2006 in Las Vegas after their epic first battle.  Morales came in determined to repeat the results from their first battle but Pacquiao had his own party plans for the evening.

After finve rounds of action, Erik Morales was winning his rematch with Manny Pacquiao and appeared as if he might be on his wa to a second win over Pacquiao. However, the tide took a change in the sixth round and it was all Pacman from there.  

By the tenth round, Morales was completely out of gas and was knocked down twice while crowd went crazy.  After the second knock down, referee Kenny Bayless waved off the fight without a count for the first KO loss for Morale's dominating career. Morales absorbed significant punishment with bruised face and a broken nose.
