Manny once again moved up another division from 126 to 130 lbs to fight another Mexican legend, three-time division champion Erik Morales on March 19, 2005, at the MGM Grand. This was Pacquiao first fight at the superfeatherweight division, and  Pacquiao lost the 12-round match by a unanimous decision from the judges. 

This battle set forth one of the greatest trilogy battles in boxing history.  This was a battle between the Philippines national treasure Pacman vs the Mexican Legend Erik "El Terrible" Morales. Both fighters were the boxer popular fighters both their respective countries and both athletes did not fail to thrill their fans and setting off one of the most exciting battles in boxing history. 

 As each countries's flags were waved all around the arena, these two warriors made history while battling for 12 rounds in a brutal and non stop action packed contest. At the end, Pacquiao lost the fight to the judges's unanimous decision, but its not over yet as Pacquiao saved his best for Morales in his second and third confrontation.
