For Manny Pacquiao, beating Oscar De La Hoya was like winning the Super Bowl, World Cup, World Series, and NBA Championship all wrapped up in one big array of celebration.  After defeating Oscar De La Hoya, Manny Pacquiao partied all night in his posh La Palazzo apartment while chugging beers, singing karaoke, and hosting a party with other special celebrity guests.  The next day Manny Pacquiao paid a brief visit to the Wild Card Boxing Club and walked straight to embrace his trainer Freddie Roach and exchanged a few words.  Manny Pacquiao then took some pictures with his fans but declined to sign autographs due to a sore right hand.Manny Pacquiao afterwards proceeded to his favorite Thai restaurant to meet with some friends, relatives and his pregnant wife Jinkee.  After dinner, Manny Pacquiao left with his lawyer Franklin Gacal, advisor Wakee Salud, brothers Bobby and Roel and a few others to board a flight to Manila where the grandest of all his celebration awaits his arrival.

The very moment Manny Pacquiao touches the tarmac of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport; there will be non-stop parades and celebrations for Manny Pacquiao.   A grand parade is already schedule the next day for Manny Pacquiao and he will also meet with President Arroyo in Malacanang.  Another huge parade and celebration is scheduled when he returns to his hometown, General Santos City.  These parades are equivalent to a hero’s welcome back from war and will be widely celebrated by every proud Filipinos.  The throng of fans and country people will roll out the red carpet for Manny Pacquiao as they will also shower him with red, white, and blue confetti as their ultimate sports hero and idol.The Natural Resources Secretary and a close friend said, “We have prepared a fitting reception for Manny, our world champion, who continuously brings honor to his country and his countrymen. The whole nation eagerly awaits his return as Manny Pacquiao is mutually excited to share his latest victory with his fellow Filipinos.”One can only wonder when Manny Pacquiao will make another run at politics in order to serve his countrymen through without the gloves on.  

Manny Pacquiao is no stranger to these over the top and grandiose celebration, but he is equally overcome with joy as he bask in the excitement, laughter, and joy of his own people.  Manny Pacquiao will also be hosting a golf tournament for his friends on December 12 through December 14.  Manny Pacquiao will then top off his triumphant jubilation with the celebration of his 30th birthday on December 17th.  Top Rank promoter Bob Arum and his trainer Freddie Roach will also fly into General Santos City to celebrate Manny Pacquiao’s birthday.  Manny Pacquiao after celebrating his enormous victory with his fellow people will then fly back to Los Angeles along with his kids Jimwell, Michael, and Princess to be with his pregnant wife Jinkee Pacquiao  the week before Christmas. Manny Pacquiao will kick off the New Year as the reigning pound for pound best fighter in the world.  If Michael Jordan or Ali are legendary sports icon in the US, then Manny Pacquiao is a sports God in the Philippines.  Manny Pacquiao has brought joy, happiness, and pride to the Philippines and they will adore and praise him as the boxing God that made them proud.  Through it all, the only true joy Manny Pacquiao gets from all these elation is to see the people celebrate as proud Filipinos.
